Lynnlita Character Reference

You may remember a while back I started on giving Llayad an overhaul, which included their clothing, so Lynnlita's character reference is a first step into putting that into action :D Her clothing in particular I've used flowers as inspiration because it totally fits her. Llayad remains African-inspired but, rather than 'what if Europe but Africa?' it's more 'what if the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills were in South Africa?' which fits remarkably well. Anyway. ONWARD.
NUDE Llayan fashion is now based around emphasising the features which the individual considers to be their greatest assets. For Lynnlita, she loves her boobs and hair, and now her waist-to-hips makes skirts go poof. So pose is all centred around that.
SUMMER Doing 'casual,' 'fancy,' and various uniforms doesn't really fit for Lynnlita, since Llayan royalty doesn't do 'casual' and third in line doesn't get any traditional garments like Nol, Mithé and Assili have had. So I've gone seasonally here. This one's based on a palace lantern lily, for which I made a brush and plonked it all over the lace and made into brocade. Pretty stoked with the brocade in particular. Yes, her shoes, sparklies and crown are absolutely made to match the dress/jumpsuit/thing. The silk for the brocade is from Llayan spider silk! The gold colour is the natural colour the spiders make, then if you make them vegetarian and just feed them nectar, they make the more creamy colour of her jumpsuit. Llayan silk spiders aren't capable of the pristine, snowy white of Raykinian spiders. Llayans are very proud of their own produce, though, so not even royalty is going to go straight for the expensive foreign stuff just cos it's better.
AUTUMN Tanglefoot fagus coat! This is the only deciduous tree native to Australia. (There's one in the tropics but that obviously doesn't count. In any case I did turn that one temperate for Tsyllaes). I couldn't find any in Africa. BUT Llayad without autumn is like the Barossa or the Hills without autumn. Not happening. Anyway. This whole concept is also based on this triptych I did about a decade ago and still love, so now Lynnlita gets to wear it for autumn.
WINTER Proteas, as it turns out, flower in winter, so that's pretty perfect what with the fuzzy edges of their petals and many layers and such. So here's Lynnlita's winter golden protea dress. Golden proteas seem to be more like warratahs or banksias but screw you, it's fantasy and Lynnlita likes her gold. The sleeves feel bland for Llayad so I may well remedy that in the future. First rule of drawing Llayan anything: Is it too much? Yes. Good, draw it.
SPRING Found out calla lilies are native to South Africa so obviously they had to turn into a dress. Flower practically is a dress before you even do anything with it. Anwyay. More brocade and lace yesssss. I drew one lily, tiled it across the whole page, then just used Liquify to follow the rough flow of the fabric and coloured it for the brocade. I really like the effect.
FANCY ...I forgot her makeup again, gdit. I'll fix that later, I wanna go to bed. ANYWAY. ORCHID DRESS. This was surprisingly a lot of fun to do. They're all different and each one took maybe 15 minutes? So there was plenty of variety and it was just fun watching them all come together. All the orchids are native to Africa, mostly Madagascar as it turns out, and a couple from Australia because both fit in Llayad. Most notably, her necklace is a donkey orchid, native to the Adelaide Hills, because they're cute, gdit. I imagine all these flowers are intricately hand crafted from silk, but there's every chance, being Llayad, that they're real flowers plucked from the palace gardens and sewn onto her dress just for that one garden party or whatever. I may yet recolour those two bright orange ones and the two blue ones cos they kinda stick out from the green/pink/yellow sort of feel it's ended up going with. Llayan fashion tends to be monochrome with one contrasting pop of colour. Lynnlita herself loves gold/cream/yellow with a pop of blue or turquoise (or the reverse for the autumn coat) but orchids, or at least the ones I grabbed from mostly Google, wound up not that. I'll bet she loves it, anyway. I do.
EDIT Made those changes I said I would :D I was tempted to add brocade to the fancy dress, but the white indicates this is either Raykinian or Kazinian silk, neither of whom do much in the way of brocade with their silk. They like it to be light and floaty. So, un-patterned it remains.

(Also I've updated it, given makeup to Fancy and patterning on the sleeves of Winter.)
