LAST OWN RIDER WOO. I feel like I may have been lazy on Inel because of that. Sorry, Inel. Inel is understated, doesn't tend towards patterns and flashy because he doesn't want to stand out too much, but he does still like to dress nicely. Most of his clothes are linen or cotton with maybe a bit of natural spider silk trim (which is the gold on this one). Look I remembered both his scars AND his body hair :D

SWORD Inel is a spiritual guy, so the pommel is a moonstone carved into the shape of a cloud of smoke, because I still intend on making smoke and fire more of a thing in Tsyllaes. So far I've got a few healing house remedies, burning certain leaves and inhaling the smoke, and the burning festival, which happens whenever the Ra-Lin doesn't flood. They scatter the fields after harvest with mallee leaves and set fire to them with all the left over dead plants. Those mallee leaves are Inel's guard, then written on the blade is 'Aeia keep me well.' After the death of a loved one, the phrase to farewell them is 'Aeia, keep him/her well' and, as an Own rider who could die on any mission, Inel feels a stronger connection to her than most.

COCONUT I was tossing up SO much on the markings for this girl. I've been saving up the numbat markings for someone special, problem being that everyone special already has a pretty well-defined design for their makaki. Numbats are gorgeous. But then, I've made Anganur's makaki based on the designs of a Lumholtz tree kangaroo, and it makes me happy to match the two stickmen at every opportunity. They're my odd couple :D So Coconut is based on a Goodfellow's tree kangaroo, and the hypothetical numbat makaki can be saved for someone important down the track.

I like his face, but I agree it might have been a bit rushed? But I like the shapes of it.

Inel did suffer from 'good enough' but we'll see if I can be bothered coming back to him.
