Ulkar is built like a very small brick shithouse. I used a rugby player as ref (or rather, a Frankensteined amalgamation of four bits of rugby player) and technically his left bicep is still smaller than the ref dude but idk, I feel uncomfortable making a dude THAT swol. Anyway. Ulkar does not care for fashion. He's a country bumpkin and he just wears what's comfortable and mae of cotton or linen for breathability and ease of movement. People mostly wear three-quarter length pants in Raykin, but shorts are a thing and Ulkar seems likely enough to wear shorts, so there he is. He also usually opts for barefoot, though not as consciously or as often as Nimay, who will only wear shoes if she's explicitly told to do so.

SWORD Previously an eagle, which had next to no significance, Ulkar's sword is now reminicent of home, aww. His family owns the pub, which is locally just known as 'the pub' because it's a very small town with just the one, but officially it's the Twisted Red Pub, after the beautiful monster of a river red gum it's built next to. It's got particularly twisty branches for a river red, most notably two that corkscrew once around each other. The tree is referenced on the guard, the twist in the plaiting of the leather on the hilt and scabbard (came out better on the scabbard, hadn't quite gotten the hang of it for the hilt) and all the colours of its bark in all the different strips of leather, and the pommel is a beer mug, which his sister makes herself and stamps with a twisted gumleaf.

FLECK Previously golden brown with chocolate spots, now with markings based off a spotted-tailed quoll, which has a golden brown coat and white spots. Fleck is a male, as evidenced by the way he's sitting on his belly because he's got no pouch to worry about. Females will always lounge to the side, males usually sit upright but may lounge if they feel like it. Fleck was originally purchased as a stallion, but Ulkar suspects he had been drugged for the handover because, as soon as his handlers were off upriver again, Fleck went wild. Ulkar had him gelded, which has significantly improved his temprement, but Mithé soon cut ties with that particular makaki stable.
