Next up is Kurae, then we're finally off of the grumpy faces! Kurae's not grumpy, he's just shy and uncomfortable with compliments, and doesn't feel his job should be glorified, so he comes off as standoffish but really he just sucks at small talk. Especially when the small talk is inevitably about himself. Kurae likes to wear simple and basic left-over-right tank tops in linen or cotton, nothing to make him stand out from the crowd. He's very happy to let the other swordies get all the attention at the pub while he fades into the background. Unless you knew what he looked like (which most people do, he's been with the Own long enough and been seen heading out on missions and in challenges) you wouldn't pick he's an Own rider. Also look, I remembered to give him scars this time.

SWORD Largely unchanged, just updated from a derpy cute swordfish to now a swordfish that actually looks like it could kill you. Kurae's originally from Ni-Badra on the coast, and he's not a hugely creative man so swordfish still fits. It has turquoise for the pommel and decorative stones on the guard, because the colour reminds him of the sea at home. No notch on the blade like the previous two, mostly for my own aesthetics because a swordfish with a notch in its sword feels bad. I haven't researched enough into scimitars to know what the actual purpose of the notch is, so whatever it's fine. It's flipped compared with the other two so far, too, because Kurae's a lefty. Irrelevant for the sword itself, which is identical either side, but the scabbard will clip to his right hip so the decoration goes on the other side. Finally, forgot to point this out on Emon's, but I've made the leather darker on the hilt and top of the scabbard where their hands typically go. Haenel's isn't darkened yet cos he's the newbie, but it'll get there.

CHARCOAL Markings unchanged, still uniform chocolate brown with black mane and tail. Charcoal is the boomer of the Own's makakis, like their father, so he's always up the front leading them alongside the flyer, Rumal's Lightfoot. One of these days I'll draw one of them fully kitted out for a mission but that'll mean designing said kit, so today is not that day.
