Something of an attempt to get back into the drawing groove. Seems to have worked, maybe? We'll see if stuff keeps coming after this one XD

Anyway! Companion piece to Cork's Crew, the muses as NINJAS. And also spies and assassins, cos frankly Pinot isn't going to work in anything other than a suit. And continuing on with the wine puns, they're the Underground Cellar.

Tried something new with hair, so that was fun. Brut's took the longest >< If anyone has a fast and effective way of colouring a crew cut, please let me know, cos that method is going to leave me with carpel tunnel.

All drawn entirely in Photoshop, sketches and all. I'm learning how to ink in that program, hurrah~


Semillon Blanc, she who loves masks, corsets and boots. Mostly the masks, but she gets a corset-thing and boots here, too X3 And a different hairstyle, cos she can. It works better with the mask. AND A GUN. I can't draw guns for shit, so they get to be solid black in this project. I cheat cos it works.


Chardonnay, she who loves scarves and dead things, and hates everything else. Alas, I couldn't give her any dead things and have them work on this project, but she gets a pair of daggers and katanas instead. Her eye's too big, but never mind. ALL THE BETTER TO SEE YOU WITH, HAHAHA. Yeah. Her feet fail. Sorry, Chardonnay.


Sparkling Shiraz, she who loves jewellery and sparklies~ and dresses. I love how her hips came out. CUTEST most innocent and sweet little assassin-butt you'll ever see. How could you resist a face like that? :<


Pinot Noir, he who loves jackets and suits in general. Right gentleman, this one is. He's also the only one who gets an item of clothing that's not black, because a black shirt would have just made him a black blob with a head and floating hands in the middle somewhere, and that's not aesthetically pleasing =( He suits a suit, does Pinot. Clearly half the brains behind this operation.


Cabernet Sauvignon, she who loves big sexy boots and little sexy skirts. The other half of the brains of the operation. First one I drew for the thing =D She gets a new hairdo too, cos it works better for a ninja-assassin-spy =3 She also gets her necklace thingie coloured instead of solid black, cos she's special. She did have hands on hips, but they looked horrible, so now she's wearing gloves.


Grange Hermitage, he who loves hats :D I was going for one of those big floppy assassin hats they have in 40s cartoons, but he kinda looks more like a Mexican gringo >> Never mind. He has a gun and a hat, he's happy. I like how his belly came out =3


Chenin Blanc, he who loves skirts. Yep, new boy to add to the Cork's crew here. Chenin Blanc is what I've named my iPod (you have to name it for iTunes to recognise it, yasee), because since I always have music on while doing anything creative--be it writing, drawing, even essaying--it makes sense that Chenin Blanc is one of my muses. Silver iPod means silver is his colour, wears skirts cos none of the other muses are girly-bois and I deserve one here, annnnnd yes. He loves music, unsurprisingly. Also, thanks muchly to Anna P who showed me how to draw a sai, cos the way I had Chenin holding them before (as though they were daggers) looked silly, apparently XD Gotta love having a friend doing karate X3


Sparkling Brut, he who loves fuzzy things, his axe, and the two combined. He gets neither fuzzy things nor his axe in this one, poor love. He does look more as though he's built like a brick shithouse, tho, so that's nice. Ugly male faces are hard to draw, damnit.


Merlot, he who loves tats and showing them off, which means being shirtless. Tat changes depending on what I'm drawing him for, so this time he gets a dragon... just... cos. It matches. The only one I really used a reference for, cos crouching poses are awkward with all their foreshortening. Long live solid black for making knees-facing-camera easy :< ... I like his abs. And his face. Merlot came out sexy~


Riesling, she who loves cloaks, capes and looking DRAMATIC. Hence the big SWOOSH thing she's got going. This was awkward with the cape, trying to get a sense of where all her limbs/torso/etc are against the solid black. I think you can preeeeetty much figure out her legs =/ Her belly came out nicely, tho =D And her hair was fun. She hates her hair. She makes Merlot's look tamed XD
