figjam | Aussie Birds

Because realism's still fun. These piccies all originally came from my Wildlife Fact File cards, and I've drawn them up over the past two and a half days of cricket =3

For the uneducated: Top left is an emu~ (which is NOT pronounced ee-moo, thankyouverymuch, North America =P Ee-mew *nods*) which was sooo much fun. It's a pile of shag with a pissed off head on a stick XD Seriously, emus are the most angry looking creatures >> And yet they get scared by a towel flapping in the wind. With the size of their beak and eyes, there's really not much room left in that iccle head for a brain. I made its knees too thick. Oops.

Top right are a pair of galahs, pink and grey parrot which I'm surprised nobody outside Australia has really heard of. About the most common bird along with magpies and crows. Noisy as all hell, but they're lovely things =3 Not so happy with the one at the back doing the preening, but it looked odd in the photo too, so that's my excuse =3;

Bottom right is a supurb blue fairy-wren, because they are the most adorable little things, seriously *^^* And BRIGHT FREAKING BLUE. And so shiny~ and glossy~ and I didn't get that working again. Fleh. Still, I love this picci *^^* Aww, he's got his head cocked *^^*

Middle right is my fa~vourite bird, the wedge-tailed eagle. Clearly the same picci I stole the wings off of for my original yrae picci =3 I love wedgies, they're gorgeous <3

Finally, bottom right is a rainbow bee-eater. Kinda blueish turquoise green bird, with a golden crown, throat and flight feathers. I've never seen one, but they're pretty little things from the piccies =3 Plus I wanted to do another bird in flight =3
