Gemili Aeiaa

This scanned crappily, but whatever. Gemili, I've decided, is Raykinian for flower, and aeia is obviously death and the name of the goddess of death, so gemili aeiaa can either be interpreted as the flower of death or~ Aeia's flower, both work. The plant itself looks a lot like a spinifex plant, only with slightly floppier and therefore droopier leaves, which are also finely thorned, in that way that it's smooth rubbing it one way, but the other way it rips your skin off =D
The flower is primarily pale yellow with orange stripes on the petals, then there's the big red tongue-y one and the top one, which is red when it first blooms and turns yellow from the tip over the course of four days, and dies in another two. They're planted in front of gravestones, and bloom five years after they're planted, then once every year after that. All the plants in the area bloom on the same day, but it's a different day every year, some time in early Autumn.
