BUTT.

So over the course of doing the original Character 145, I started getting way more adventurous with Kazinian hair and makeup, but didn't apply that to the main characters at the time. On Assili and Shizaaqa I did that with the makeup and at least the hair styling, so Sahid now gets a haircut! Wavy mohawk, hell yeah. He still keeps his sculpted facial hair and the derpy big ears. I was tempted to make his tat more detailed but, at the end of the day, I'm going to have to draw this thing every time I draw him, and the swooshes of the fire are just fun to draw and I like the dragon silhouette, so it stays as is. ALSO. Same as the girls, he waxes all over... except the happy trail. The removal of body hair, as previously mentioned, is a class thing in Kazin, not a gendered thing, but the 'manly' hair is the specific hair that really only grows on the male body, so facial hair and the happy trail. So he keeps that.

SARONG I could probably dangle more gold off him but I got bored >> Still, lotta gold. This is pretty casual for Sahid, super-detailed sarong, jewellery on waistband, arm band and necklace, almost always wears his circlet cos, if it ain't clear already, Sahid is vain. He hasn't got the completely bare feet with foot jewellery as the girls have, becuase he likes going out on the town a lot, so he does require a bit of sole-protection. When he's at the palace, of course, barefoot and ankle sparklies.

ARMY Army uniform almost entirely unchanged from the last time I drew it, except steel doesn't exist in Kazin yet so all the metal is brass and, for royalty and high ranks, gold-plated. His rank is shown on his breastplate, in the black square around the outside, then the peacock feather indicates royalty. It's the only place the royal family members who aren't the empress are allowed to wear the golden peacock feather, because they're the empress' representatives in the army. I'm not totally sure how I'm going to show ranks in the army now, since the different looks of steel and gold is much more stark than brass and gold. Probably just double up the black lines or something. Figure that out later, largely irrelevant for Sahid. He's just a sergeant (second from the bottom of ranks) and won't go any higher, so.

~~BUTT~~ BACK Full back tat, woo! Again, reasonably simple silhouette which is more for me than it is for him >> He does have a flame on his butt, though :3 Also man his hair is fun to render. And I think that's the first unclothed man's butt I've ever drawn, so that was fun, too. He was originally going to have a sarong, but they're worn quite high up around the back, right in the small of the back, which would've completely defeated the purpose of drawing the boy's back in the first place.

MAKAKI Idk what this one's name is. I was debating whether or not these boys would have two, one destrier in the army and one Assiraz's makaki for strutting around looking regal. I mean, they're the imperial family, of course they could own two. Except Sahid would totally strut around looking regal on his destrier. Even if it's a boring basic brown because he's never going to be a black makaki rider. He's pretty solid with his bow, but needs to work more on his swordsmanship to get a darker steed. In the end, though, as royalty he's expected to rise through the ranks, so weaponship doesn't matter.
