figjam | Lii Character Reference

I decided/realised there wasn't enough body diversity love in my healers so I'll be rectifying that with these character refs, starting with Lii! She's a shy, girly girl with a gorgeous singing voice. She likes fun, contrasting colours and flowy dresses to give her plenty of ventilation, and usually goes for a ribbon tied at the flattering waist line. She's not big on fashion for herself, but looks with envy at girls like Fali who can throw on anything and look gorgeous.

Also unrelated, I was thinking on accents while drawing her, in particular how double vowels work in Japanese vs Indonesian. So in most of Raykin, double-vowels work like in Japanese, where it just extends the sound, so Li compared with Lii would be like Lee compared with Lee~. In her coastal hometown of Ni-Badra, though, double vowels work like in Indonesian, where they actually pronounce both letters with a bit of a dipthong in between, like in 'skiing,' so Lii's name would be pronounced Lee-yee. Kurae, who is also from Ni-Badra, pronounces her name as Lee-yee when he comes into the healing house and she quietly squees every time.
