It's the booooy <3 I love Gylepi and his big dumb nose. Gylepi has actively begun dressing more swanky since the prince joined their ranks. He personally has no idea about fashion but he has a wife who does, so Aari dresses him whenever he goes out in public. She's big on colour-coordination and less-is-more (she's an artist by trade so she knows colour and composition and such). There'll always be one pattern there and the rest of the outfit built around that. Occasionally Gylepi can't be stuffed and will just go out in whatever he grabs off the rack, but Aari has learned this and groups the stuff that goes together so he rarely goes wrong.

Also, he has to sit with his legs outstretched cos he's too tall for the normal Raykinian-sized chairs and blocks :<

SWORD Previously Gylepi's sword was a palm tree, because he's a Desert man and palm = desert... except I realised that's our association. For a desert city, where there are more palm trees along the river and in the city than out in the desert, it doesn't fit so well. So I was toying with spinifex and saltbush, iconic Australian desert plants but very difficult to turn into a sword--spinifex are basiclaly spikey pompoms and saltbush leaves look a lot like holly leaves without colour or texture to help guide things. Succulents could be lovely, except Australia doesn't have a lot of succulents, and what we do have aren't the awesome sculptural, architectural ones of Central America and Africa. We have pigface and karkalla, which are basically just chonky pigface. I like to keep the succulents to Llayad so there's that distinction between the two. So. Sallie found this handy collection of stamps, with some cool succulents. Specifically I've done the Tecticornia verrucosa (which Wiki tells me the local Aboriginal people call mungily so that's way easier) for the pommel in amethyst and rose quartz, and Gunniopsis quadrifida for the guard, apparently some variety of pigface.

DIZZY Technically he's appeared in-fic and been described as previous, but his design was too close to Kurae's Charcoal I wanted to base one on a Tasmanian devil and the one that's already mostly black makes most sense. Also has the added bonus of Dizzy getting his name because* he likes running around in circles, and Taz the Tasmanian devil spins. So that's fun :D

* It's actually because Gylepi's design is 100% Jason Gillespie, a cricketer of the time when I was creating the Own, whose nickname is Dizzy. That nickname apparently comes from a jazz musician, Dizzy Gillespie. The layers are not as deep as they appear but my god, you keep digging and they keep going.
